For more than 40 years, the Camp David Accords have secured a lasting peace between Egypt and Israel. Since the first time that Anwar Sadat shattered the physical barrier between Israel and Egypt, and spoke at the Knesset. To the hundreds of thousands of tourists who roam in one another's country. The accords surpassed any expectations that were predicted to have been the result of the accords. Since the accords, the Middle-East has made some improvements to peace, like the Israel-Jordan peace treaty. The achievements that were accomplished were due to the cooperation and guidance of President Jimmy Carter. The moment he got elected, he devoted lots of his time to Middle-Eastern conflict, and all though both countries were making bold moves, nothing would have been achieved if President Carter hadn't lent a guiding hand. Menachem Begin, Anwar Sadat, and Jimmy Carter changed Middle-Eastern history forever, breaking the ideological barrier separating Arabs from Israelis.

The Camp David Accords were brokered by Jimmy Carter and signed by the Egyptian and Israeli leaders on September 17, 1978, at Camp David, Maryland. When the accords were signed the ideological barrier between Egypt and Israel was broken, and it ultimately resulted in peace, an improved economy for both countries, and a perceptional barrier that was built, separating Egypt and Israel from every other Arab country.
